Hey guys I actually
cant believe my ears that I'm really gonna start writing
blogs. So this is my first blog really its like a push from one of my friend's
who compelled me to do this so, I obliged . Anything and everything
should be first given a try, success or failure is secondary. Soooooooooo what
am I gonna write about, is a question I pose myself, and how do I create a
blog?.... OMG !!! its all questions and no answers at the start itself .Finally
I decide on a topic and sit in front of my laptop and started searching on how
to create a blog and found it. "Hurray" I said myself and learnt a
bit, but in the meanwhile I forgot the topic I had in my mind to
write.....OOPS. Now I have to start afresh and rethink. BOOM came the idea,
being a woman why don't I start my blog with it. So here it goes "Women,
Women and Women".
Seriously I don't know why I
have written women thrice, do they mean anything? Nope. We living in India see
a lot of gender difference and especially in south its always like " Your
just a female, you can't do this, that,blah,blah,blah....". Its almost 65
years since we got our independence and also being globalized outside we
still are holding on to some of the backward thoughts inside. The question to
put forth is, " Does a female ought to be treated like a tamed
'whatsoever' and be a shadow of a male?". Our educational system is way
improving day by day and the numbers of female candidates who come out with
flying colors are on the raise. But this scenario is till the high school, what
becomes after that to half the population of them are unknown.
Once we enter the
college we tend to see only one-third of the female population present. And
then the next stages are even fewer. When it comes to the job most of the women
do not have a long career since they are pushed to carry on with the family
life ie. marriage. Even in these days most of the guys
wants their counterpart to stay back and look after the family which
on my personal opinion is completely ridiculous. And another thing I find
funny is the parents of the female say her that if she wants to go to a job she
has to seek permission from her so called 'would-be' and if granted she could
carry on and the permission must also be obtained from her in-
laws...phewwww.
When we see all the happenings
to a women not only in a family but in the society as well, she is been treated
very very cruelly. You must all be aware of the incident in Haryana which has
caused so much chaos in the entire country. The gang rape which took place in
the recent past which was a big issue just because of the girl who went to
celebrate a birthday bash in a pub along with her friends. And the authorities blame
the girl for her attire and also including a statement that if a girl wears
such an outfit, the guys would be aroused and the outcome would be
worse. Unbelievable!!!!!. Are these people really educated? This was also
favor for the political parties and the local panchayat unions. The so called
"Great leaders" used the incident to gain votes by posing
a sympathetic face. The local unions said that the girls should be married
at the earlier stage of life to prevent all these, which is utter
rubbish.
I also came through another
incident in South and that too in a place where the education rate is higher.
Guess...its Kerala. The poor girl was to be raped by her own father and
brother. Its a shame on how a family is. When heard of,the girl said after her
mom's death the situation at home was topsy turvy and her elder sister was
treated the same way and she passed off. And there are many other incidents to
show how brutal the world is to a female. Why are they treated so inferior to a
male even when they have as much knowledge and education as of a male?
I was lucky enough to see two
major talk shows on women in television. There were several incidents in which
women were going through hell at their own home and most of them I'm sure would
have given tears to the audience. Blessed am I, to have such a life where only
minor ups and downs are present. Coming back to the show most of the husbands
who treated the counterpart so low were unexpectedly the most educated people
which include engineers and doctors. People are given education only to gain
knowledge and to respect their fellow beings. Instead they are surprisingly
turning into barbarians and behave in such a way that even man
eaters would not be!!!
If this
situation would prevail one fine day we are all gonna turn into an actual man
eater and run off the streets as a mad dog. As children we are taught to
maintain discipline and decorum but as we grow to forget the basics of life and
run for something that we are really not sure off. As humans we should be
treated the same leaving behind the gender differences and support each other.
Hope my first blog would have brought us some insights. Do leave
behind a comment!!!!!!
